I am fascinated by urban art for its irreverence and creativity. More than other artistic expressions, it is free and liberating.

It’s democratic. We come across it in our daily lives, and it enters our lives without asking permission. The most striking example for me is Penang, Malaysia, where I took most of the photographs in this album.
